Cirencester College students raise money for Eating Disorders charity

Cirencester College’s Student Union held their annual fund raising for Eating Disorders Awareness Week. The money was being raised for BEAT, the UK’s Eating Disorders charity who support those with eating disorders and our local BEAT facilitator for Cirencester, Pat Ayres.

Students and staff raised money by generously donating gifts to a tombola. After running a very successful tombola here at the College and at the Youth Market in Cirencester last week, the students managed to raise £149 for the charity and £20 for the local support group.

A delighted Pat Ayres said, “Thank you once again to the students and staff who have supported Eating Disorders Awareness Week. The money will be invaluable for the national helplines, who support those who don’t have access to local services that they have in Cirencester.”
