Phoebe Pine takes up her place on the GB Archery Team

Congratulations to 19 year old A-level student Phoebe Pine, who has recently been accepted on to the World Class Programme for Archery.

Phoebe is now officially part of team GB, something that Phoebe has been striving for the last couple of years and being part of the world class programme, gives Phoebe access to a sports psychologist, physiotherapist and extra support for her training.

As well as continuing her A-level studies in History, Media and Geology and preparing for exams in the summer, Phoebe is now travelling to Telford twice per week for her GB training sessions, in addition to her training in Gloucester at the Deer Park Archers.

Phoebe has had to be extremely organised to fit everything in and has devised her own timetable to ensure that her studies and her archery can all fit side by side.

Phoebe is now preparing for the World Championships, which are being held in Beijing in September. The ultimate goal of course is Tokyo 2020 for the Paralympic Games.

We continue to wish Phoebe every success in her academic studies as well as her competitions as she works towards qualifying for the World Championships and the Paralympics in 2020. Phoebe hopes to join Worcester University in October to study Sports and Exercise Science.
