Cirencester Sixth Form College students has been recognised for their excellent results in the Level 3 Vocational Award for Financial Studies for both the Certificate and the Diploma qualifications. Emily Buckland achieved an A* putting her in the top 1% in the country for the qualification 66% of all students studying the Diploma and the Certificate achieved grades A*-B, a fantastic achievement for the students.
Debi Howell, from The London Institute of Banking and Finance, visited Cirencester to personally congratulate the students and to present them with their certificates. Debi had a surprise for students, giving them the opportunity to apply for a special bursary to continue their studies with the London Institute of Banking and Finance (LIBF).
The LIBF degree course provides students with a comprehensive knowledge of personal finances, including looking at the importance of budgeting and investigating a range of saving, investment and borrowing products.
Course leader Karen Lucker said, “I’m am really proud of all the students for the effort and dedication they have shown. The students have found the course beneficial as it has helped them not only with their personal finances but has given them an insight in to the financial sector where the majority are now planning to start their careers.”
