Cirencester Sixth Form College has been selected as one of only 52 education providers in the country to provide the new technical level qualifications from 2020. In recognition of their Outstanding Ofsted status, they will pilot the new qualifications, which will raise the standards, recognition and parity of vocational qualifications, something the College is committed to and welcomes.
The new T-levels are a new 2 year qualification which will give young people aged between 16-18 the technical knowledge and practical skills specific to their chosen industry or occupation. Each student will participate in an industry placement in their chosen career path as well as the relevant Maths, English,digital and employability skills. They will receive a certificate at the end of the course, which will be recognised and valued nationally by employers as a relevant and rigorous qualification for the workplace.
From 2020, so far Cirencester Sixth Form College will be offering T-level courses in Digital Media, IT, Education and are investigating Surveying.
