High flying finance student Emily in top one percent nationally for exam results

Students from Cirencester Sixth Form College have once again been rewarded for their outstanding achievements in their Level 3 Financial Studies examinations this summer, with top achieving student Emily Buckland’s results putting her in the top 1% in the country.  Two other students Archie Branisteanu and Christina Pham were also in the top 2%.

Debi Howell from The London Institute of Banking and Finance (LIBF) visited the College this week to personally award the certificates to the following students who have all been offered scholarships should they wish to study one of the degrees offered by the LIBF.

Course leader Karen Lucker said, “The course is always well received by the students and provides them with the life skills to help them in the future with various financial situations.  Students are equipped with the skills to budget and investigate a range of saving, investment and borrowing products.  These skills will support them in the work place as well as in their personal finances.”

Past students from our degree programmes are now developing their careers in organisations such as Barclays, HSBC Deloitte, Thomas Reuters and Goldman Sachs.”
