Now in their ninth year, the Cirencester Chamber of Commerce Business Awards celebrate the town’s best and brightest.
Eryn won the award for her work at Cirencester Friendly while the College’s Sophie Stephens, from Cirencester Sales and Lettings, was runner up.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed completing my apprenticeship so far and have received endless support from everyone at the College to ensure its running smoothly,” says Eryn.
“It was an excellent evening and a delight to win an award to top it off! It was lovely to see so many local businesses together and also having their hard work recognised. It’s a huge bonus that I also received an award myself!”
The judges were extremely impressed by Eryn’s confidence and achievement, recognising her as an asset to Cirencester Friendly and her peers.
Eryn now plans to continue her apprenticeship as a Customer Care Administrator while Sophie is now employed for Cirencester Sales and Lettings – having since completed her apprenticeship.
Cirencester Friendly, who employs Eryn, also won ‘Corporate Social Enterprise Award of the Year’ runner up.
Apprenticeship Manager Sarah Helbrow wanted to congratulate the students:
“I am extremely proud to see two of our Cirencester College apprentices recognised by the Apprentice of the Year and runners-up Awards. This is a fantastic achievement and demonstrates the positive outcomes of employing young people through our apprenticeship programmes.”
You can find out about the College’s apprenticeship schemes at Open Evening on Thursday 27th June, 5-8pm. For more information on this story, please contact Izaac.firstname.lastname@example.org
