Adult Education mixes Watercolour and Wine

From learning photography skills to baking bread, our Adult Education courses have been proving popular over the last few months. But perhaps the most intriguing is the upcoming course ‘Watercolour and Wine’, pairing together two things that you wouldn’t normally put together!

Karen Bell, Faculty Head for Adult Learning, began watercolour as a hobby, but has since encouraged students at the College to paint as part of their enrichment.
“Though the students have been given the same image to copy, they’ve all achieved a really different look with each of their paintings, showing how differently it can be interpreted. It’s been fantastic to see the students so inspired.”

After seeing the success of the students and how much they enjoyed painting as a hobby, Karen organised the Adult Education course, and paired it with wine!

“The students were really surprised by what they could achieve, and it’s been great to show them what they’re capable of. Watercolour is for all levels of ability, so I’m really looking forward to seeing how the course goes in the New Year.”

This course is already proving to be popular, with spaces filling up for both dates. Promising a fun and relaxing social atmosphere, Watercolour and Wine is coming in the New Year, with the first session on January 28th and the second on 26th February, both at the Greyhound Pub in Siddington.
